Needle Plate
Needle Plate
This
component is commonly
referred to as the throat
plate.
The needle plate is the flat surface directly below the presser foot that supports
the material as it is sewn. It is held in place by two screws. The needle plate has
two holes for the needles to pass thread to the looper during stitching. Slots in
the needle plate allow the lower feed to pass through without interruption.
Flange Guide
The flange guide is the stainless steel frame around the bed or flat part of the
sewing head. It supports the panel and enables it to move smoothly through the
sewing motion.
Sewing Table Components
The second component of the flange machine is the table. It is assembled at the
factory prior to shipping and has several components, most of which are already
attached and require no assembly.
