Answering Audio Calls
When you receive an incoming call on your phone, you can choose to answer the call in a number of different ways.
Answer a Call
Answer a call using the handset, speakerphone, or a headset.
Task
» Do one of the following:
• Pick up the handset, and then press the Answer softkey.
• Press
for speakerphone or press
for headset.
Answer a Call from the Calls Screen
When you don't answer an incoming call within 10 seconds, the Incoming Call screen disappears and the Calls screen
displays.
Task
» Select the incoming call, and select Answer.
Answer a Call When in a Call
When you’re in an active call and an incoming call arrives on the same or a different line, a call waiting tone beeps and the
Incoming Call screen displays.
Task
» Select Answer.
The active call goes on hold, and the incoming call becomes active.
Answer a Call from an Expansion Module
You can answer calls using the line keys on your phone or from a connected expansion module.
Task
» Press the expansion module line key that has the flashing green LED indicator.
Answer a Call on a Locked Phone
You can enable your phone to accept calls while it's locked. To answer calls on a locked phone, enter your password.
Task
1 On the Incoming Call screen, select Answer.
2 Enter your password and select Enter.
The call connects.
End a Call
You can only end active calls. To end a held call, you must first resume the held call.
Task
» Do one of the following:
• Press the End Call softkey.
• Replace the handset in the cradle.
• Press the Speakerphone
key.
• Press the Headset
key.
