Saturation
The intensity of the color is called saturation. Exam-
ple: A lightly saturated red looks pink. Fully saturated red is like
the red of a crayon. Not be confused with brightness, saturation
is the amount of pigment in a color, and not the intensity. Low
saturation is like adding white to the color.
SCSI (Small Computer Systems Interface)
Pronounced
“scuzzy”. SCSI is the second-most popular interface standard for
hard disks. Most scanners and CD-ROM drives are SCSI. You can
hook up to seven SCSI devices to one SCSI interface.
SECAM (Sequential Coleur A Memoire)
Pronounced “Sea-
Cam”. Sequential color with memory. The television standard for
France, Eastern Europe, Russia, the former Soviet Republics and
some countries in Africa. SECAM is 625 lines of resolution with a
refresh rate of 50 Hz. SECAM refers to a type of video or televi-
sion signal.
