Engine Disassembly / Assembly -- Domestic 700 / 800 Engines

NOTE: Inspect all parts for wear or damage during disassembly. Replace all seals, O-rings,

and gaskets with Genuine Polaris parts during assembly. Refer to pages 3.47-3.56 for gen-

eral inspection procedures.
Disassembly

1. Remove oil pump.

2. Remove recoil housing.

3. Remove recoil hub. Inspect waterpump drive belt

for missing, cracked, or broken drive cogs. Replace

if worn.

Measure the belt at 4 different points as shown. Re-

place if width is less than .250
