Before the product is registered online successfully, the
system only supports the WAN function, and you will not be
allowed to use other server functions.
Network Settings
After logging in the Server as an Administrator, click Advanced Settings > Network
Settings . Network Settings allows you to set up network configurations, including
Internet Connection Settings , Domain Name Settings , Intranet Network Settings ,
Firewall, Virtual Server and DMZ , and Internet Surfing Restrictions .
Internet Connection Settings
Select Advanced Settings > Network Settings > Internet Connection Settings to
configure Internet Connection Settings . You can specify TCP/IP parameters for
connecting the link between the Server and the Internet.
1. The type of connection needs to be specified by selecting either
DHCP (Cable) ,
PPPoE (ADSL) or Fixed IP address . If the selection is PPPoE (ADSL) , enter
Account and Password obtained from your ADSL subscriber.
2. If the selection is Fixed IP address , enter the IP address , Netmask , and Gateway .
3. For DNS server settings, the first-time users are suggested to select Obtain DNS
server address automatically . If you select Use the following DNS server
addresses , enter Preferred DNS server address and Alternate DNS server address.
Please refer to the network parameters provided by your Internet link provider.
Consult your local ISP for assistance if you encounter any problems when setting up the
Internet link.
