What’s in the box
Please confi r m that the following accesso r ies a r e in the box
when you o p en it.
• Remote Cont r ol
• Powe r co r d
• AC ada p te r
• FM wi r e antenna
• AAA batte r ies (R03) x 2
• O p e r ating inst r uctions (this document)
Loading the batteries in the remote
control
1 Open the rear lid and load the batteries as
illustrated below.
2 Close the rear lid.
The batte r ies included with the unit have been pr ovided to
allow you check pr oduct o p e r ation and may not last long. We
r ecommend using alkaline batte r ies that have a longe r life.
Caution
• When inse r ting the batte r ies, make su r e not to damage
the s pr ings on the batte r y’s  te r minals.
• Do not use any batte r ies othe r than the ones s p ecified.
Also, do not use a new batte r y togethe r with an old one.
• When loading the batte r ies into the r emote cont r ol, set
them in the pr o p e r di r ection, as indicated by the p ola r ity
ma r ks (  and  ).
• Do not heat batte r ies, disassemble them, o r th r ow them
into flames o r wate r .
• Batte r ies may have diffe r ent voltages, even if they a r e the
same size and sha p e. Do not use diffe r ent ty p es of
batte r ies togethe r .
• To pr event leakage of batte r y fluid, r emove the batte r ies
if you do not p lan to use the r emote cont r ol fo r a long
p e r iod of time (1 month o r mo r e). If the fluid should leak,
wi p e it ca r efully off the inside of the case, then inse r t new
batte r ies. If a batte r y should leak and the fluid should get
on you r skin, flush it off with la r ge quantities of wate r .
• When dis p osing of used batte r ies, p lease com p ly with
gove r nmental r egulations o r envi r onmental p ublic
institution’s r ules that a pp ly in you r count r y/a r ea.
• WARNING
Do not use o r sto r e batte r ies in di r ect sunlight o r othe r
excessively hot p lace, such as inside a ca r o r nea r a
heate r . This can cause batte r ies to leak, ove r heat,
ex p lode o r catch fi r e. It can also r educe the life o r
p e r fo r mance of batte r ies.
Using the remote control
The r emote has a r ange of about 7 m (23 ft.) at an angle of
about 30º f r om the r emote senso r .
Kee p in mind the following when using the r emote cont r ol:
• Make su r e that the r e a r e no obstacles between the
r emote and the r emote senso r on the unit.
• Remote o p e r ation may become un r eliable if st r ong
sunlight o r fluo r escent light is shining on the unit’s
r emote senso r .
• Remote cont r olle r s fo r diffe r ent devices can inte r fe r e
with each othe r . Avoid using r emotes fo r othe r
equi p ment located close to this unit.
• Re p lace the batte r ies when you notice a fall off in the
o p e r ating r ange of the r emote.
