This lets you pause playback and view a still pic-
ture.

This lets you move ahead one frame at a time dur-
ing playback.

Depending on the disc and the playback loca-
tion on the disc, the prohibited mark “

may be displayed indicating that Still, Frame-
by-Frame and Slow Motion playback are not
possible.

With some discs, images may be unclear dur-
ing Frame-by-Frame and Slow Motion play-
back.
When connecting XDV-P9 or XDV-P90
Reverse Frame-by-Frame playback and Reverse
Slow Motion playback are possible by the

(CANCEL ROUTE)
button.

You can control playback speed by pressing
the

(CANCEL ROUTE)
button during
slow motion playback.
Operating using Information
Display 1
Specify Title, Chapter or Time to search for a
desired scene and play it back.

Push the joystick left/right to select Title
or Chapter (or Track) in Information Dis-
play 1.
The selected item is highlighted.

Push the joystick up/down to indicate the
desired number.

Press the joystick directly down to com-
plete selection.

You can also specify a Title, Chapter or Time
directly without using an Information Display.
(Refer to page 74).

With discs that feature menus, you can press
the
MENU
button to select for display of
menu indications.

Some discs may feature a prohibited mark,
indicating that display of Title and Chapter
indications is not possible.
❒
You cannot specify a Chapter when in the
Stop mode.
❒
If you perform no operation for about eight
seconds, the specified number becomes
invalid.
