Customizing Your Navigation System
• For safety reasons, these functions are not
available while your vehicle is in motion.
To enable these functions, you must stop
in a safe place and put on the parking
brake before setting your route.
Modifying the Default Settings
You can tailor default settings such as navigation
functions and information display for ease of use.
The following example describes how to change
settings. In this example, the “
KM Mile Set-
ting
” settings is set to “
Mile & Yard
”.

Select “
Settings
” in the Main menu and
click the
OK
button.
The Settings menu appears.

Select “
Next
” and click the
OK
button.
The screen changes. “
Mile
” is displayed
below “
KM Mile Setting
”, indicating that
this function is currently set to “
Mile
”.

The content currently set appears under
the name of the item. Each time you click
the
OK
button, the setting appearing on
the item changes. Repeatedly click the
OK
button until the value you want to set
appears.
When you select items with no setting
below them, a setting screen appears by
clicking the
OK
button.

Selecting “

” or “
Previous
” changes
the screen and displays another item.

the item you want to change and repeat the

for each item. Settings marked with an asterisk
(*) show that they are default or factory settings.

Average Speed
When calculating expected time of arrival and
the number of hours to the destination, the aver-
age speed for the freeway or ordinary road used
is set. You can change the value by selecting “
+
”
or “
–
” and clicking the
OK
button.

Minor Ordinary Road
— When the “
KM Mile Setting
” is set to
“
Mile
” or “
Mile & Yard
”, it can be set in 5
mile increments from 10 miles to 100 miles
(35 miles*).
— When the “
KM Mile Setting
” is set to
“
km
”, it can be set in 5 km increments
from 20 km to 110 km (55 km*).
