Status message: Peripheral Fault on a
device.
= 1: INTERBUS is indicating a peripheral
fault. The device number is stored in the
diagnostic parameter register.
= 0: INTERBUS does not indicate a
peripheral fault.
BUS_QUALITY Evaluation of transmission quality
= 1: Quality is not achieved.
= 0: Quality is achieved.
The "BUS_QUALITY" bit provides
additional service information for the user,
thus increasing system availability. When
this bit is set (BUS_QUALITY = 1),
transmission errors have occurred.
Check the transmission links using the
IBS CMD diagnostic software (evaluation
of the transmission statistics) to avoid long-
term system errors.
Example:
Use the "BUS_QUALITY" bit to detect
aging effects in your system at an early
stage (e.g., increased optical fiber cable
attenuation or wear of trailing cables and
slip rings). You can take appropriate
measures in good time.
DETECTION
Trouble-shooting is indicated.
= 1: A bus error occurred and the
diagnostic routine is activated. Error
indications in the diagnostic status register
are not possible. ("RUN" bit deactivated
and "Diagnostic Routine is Active" bit
(DETECT) activated.)
= 0: After error localization, the
"DETECTION" bit will be reset. Any bus
error is indicated in the diagnostic status
register.
BUSY_STATE
Indicates that a standard function is active.
During normal operation i.e., no error
occurred and the bus is in RUN state, this
message bit is set to "0". If this function is
active over several PLC cycles, the bit is
set to "1".
