Connecting the modem to the
telephone line
This equipment has been approved for a connection to the Public
Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) of the following countries:
Hungary, Czech Republic and Slovakia. Optimal functioning can
not be guaranteed in other countries.
Due to differences between the individual PSTNs provided for in
different countries, the approval does not, of itself, give an
unconditional assurance of successful operation on every PSTN
network termination point.
In the event of problems, you should contact your equipment
supplier in the first instance.
The DSR is supplied with a telephone cable used to connect the
telephone line socket on the DSR rear panel to the telephone wall
socket.
- Remove your telephone connector from the telephone wall
socket.
- Insert your telephone cable connector in the telephone line
socket on your DSR.
- Select the correct adapter for your location (see adapters below -
not supplied).
Note: the cable supplied with your DSR has standard RJ-45 terminals.
Therefore if the cable and socket are compatible it is not necessary to
use an adapter.
