CONNECTIONS
- Insert the other end of the telephone cable into the correct
socket on the adapter.
- Plug the adapter into the telephone wall socket.
- Plug your telephone connector into the adapter.
Note: for proper functioning of the modem, it has to be connected to an
analogue telephone line. Please make sure the telephone line you
connect the modem to is an analogue telephone line (PSTN) and not a
digital one (ISDN). If you are not sure, please contact your telephone
company.
There is no telephone communication possible when the modem of the
set is transferring data over the telephone line (this can be recognized
when you pick up the phone and hear constant noise). In case of an
emergency you can stop the modem by disconnecting the modem cable
or the power cable from the rear of the set.
Connection to the mains
- Once you have made all other connections, connect the power
cable into the DSR mains inlet.
- Plug the other end of the power cable into an AC outlet.
After a few seconds the DSR display indicates that it is connected
and in Standby mode.
Note: When not in use, it is highly recommended that the DSR be left in
Standby and the Smart Card in place to allow automatic retrieval of
updated information and authorisations.
CAUTION!
NEVER MAKE OR CHANGE CONNECTIONS AFTER CONNECTING
THE POWER CABLE. ONLY A QUALIFIED SERVICE ENGINEER
SHOULD REMOVE THE COVER OR ATTEMPT TO SERVICE THIS
DEVICE.
