3. Installation
3.3 Rear connections
Warning:
– Never make or change the connections
when the mains is switched on.
– Install the Center and Station near AC
outlets where the AC power plug can be
reached easily.
3.3.1 Connecting antennas

Extend the wire antenna and fit it to the
FM
ANTENNA
as shown below

(Optional) To improve FM reception, fit the plug
of the wire antenna into the plug of the
extension line (sold separately) as shown below

Extend the extension line and move it in
different positions for optimal reception (as far
away as possible from the TV,VCR or other
radiation sources)

Fix end of the extension line to the ceiling
3.3.2 Connecting a USB mass storage
device
On Center or Station, you can playback music
from a USB mass storage device. Also, you can
transfer the music from the library on the
Center to the USB mass storage device. Carry
your favorite music with you wherever you go.

Insert the USB plug of the USB device into the
socket
on the Center or Station
For devices with USB cable:

Insert one end of the USB cable (not supplied)
into the socket
on the Center or Station

Insert the other end of the USB cable into the
USB output terminal of the USB device

once or more times to select USB

Helpful hints:
The Center or Station only supports USB devices
that adhere to the following standards:
– USB MSC ( Type ‘0’ )
– File system in FAT12/ FAT16/ FAT32
– Operations based on simple folder based
navigation (also known as a normal FAT file
system), and not based on proprietary track
database.
The following USB devices will not be supported by
the Center or Station:
– MTP based or Dual mode (adhering to both the
MSC and MTP standards) devices, as the Center
or Station does not support browse, play and
export functions using the MTP protocol.
