Electromagnetic Compatibility
(M3813B and M3815B)
The electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) validation of the
M3813B
Scale
and
M3815B Blood Pressure Monitor
included testing performed
according to the international standard for EMC for medical devices. See
the Manufacturer’s Declaration for details.
Electronic devices can either generate or receive electromagnetic
interference. The M3813B and M3815B have been evaluated for
electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) with the appropriate accessories
according to IEC 60601-1-2:2001, the international standard for EMC for
medical electrical equipment. This IEC standard has been adopted in the
European Union as the European Norm, EN 60601-1-2:2001.
Radio frequency (RF) interference from nearby transmitting devices can
degrade performance of the electronic equipment. Electromagnetic
compatibility with surrounding devices should be assessed prior to using
the equipment.
Fixed, portable, and mobile radio frequency communications equipment
can also affect the performance of electronic equipment. See your
Service Provider for assistance with the minimum recommended
separation distance between RF communications equipment and these
devices.
Warning
The use of accessories, transducers and cables other than those
specified in the Philips Telemonitoring system service and user
documentation can result in increased emissions or decreased
immunity of the system.
The products should not be used next to or stacked with other
equipment. If you must stack the product, you must check that
normal operation is possible in the necessary configuration before the
product is used.
