Inserting and Removing the Battery
Inserting the Battery
The battery is shaped so that it can only be inserted in one direction.
1.
Insert the battery into the cavity of the handheld reader until it clicks into place.
2.
Press any key on the handheld reader (except the battery status key on the battery) for half a
second.
The handheld reader begins the start sequence. When the handheld reader has success-
fully completed its start sequence (approximately 2 seconds), it emits a beep, the LEDs
flash, and the handheld reader vibrates once.
Removing the Battery
1.
Move the locking device on the bottom of the handheld reader in the direction of the arrow until
the battery easily springs out.
