TWO SPEED FILTER PUMP
Note: There must be a two-speed relay installed in the SunTouch
®
Control System enclosure and
plugged into the AUX3 connector for the “Two-Speed” pump menu feature to operate.
The Two Speed or High Speed can have a number of circuits or features associated with it. A maximum
number of four (4) items is allowed. The list includes Spa, Pool, AUX1, AUX2, AUX3, Feature 1–4, Solar,
Heater, Pool Heat, Spa Heat, Freeze, Pool/Spa, Solar/H (Solar/Heater).
Any Circuit or Item listed in one of the four (4) slots will force the pump to High Speed when that item is on
or active.
Assigned circuits will automatically switch a two-speed filter pump from low to high speed when these
circuits are switched on setup in the Schedules menu. If a two-speed pump is assigned to solar, as a cleaner or
fiilter pump, when the circuit is activated the pump will automatically run for five minutes in high speed then
switch to low speed.

Note: ‘Pool/Spa’ is when either Pool or Spa is on, ‘Solar/HT’ is when Solar or
Heater is active. These are useful if you want High Speed in either case, and it saves
one of the four slots as you don’t need to enter them as separate items.
Note: The AUX3 output is dedicated for the use of a Two Speed relay. The AUX 3 in
schedules, or in one of the four (4) slots here for example it acts as an extra Feature
Circuit.
Note: If any circuit or item is listed in one of the four (4) slots the system will
automatically force High Speed for five (5) minutes anytime Solar, Heater, or Cleaner
first start up. If any of those items is listed in the High Speed list, it will of course
remain at High Speed as long as it is on or active.
