c. CEV Heartbeat - Toggles on and off with each reset of a software watchdog. Verifies the
operating system is running.
d. +5V Gateway Power Present – The DC to DC converter is providing operating voltage to circuit
pack.
e. Ethernet Link Valid – The Ethernet cable is correctly connected and in turn connected to an
active port.
f. Ethernet Transmit – Flashes with each valid Ethernet send from the Gateway Circuit Pack.
g. CAN Traffic – See Above (1)
H. If a Digital Output will not work, check (the programming) to ensure the port is turned on. If the port is
turned on and the DO will not work, if there is another available port, move the DO wire to the available
port and reprogram the NetMACS II or try resetting the NetMACS II per step J.
I. If the digital outputs remain in the off condition, the relays are not working properly. Try resetting the
NetMACS II per step J.
J. To reset the NetMACS II
proceed as follows:
1. Check to ensure there is a minimum of 2.7 VDC potential across the memory backup battery.
2. Remove the input fuse to the NetMACS II.
3. Let the NetMACS II sit for 30 seconds.
4. Insert the fuse to re-apply input power.
5. If after the above procedures have been accomplished and the NetMACS II is still not operating
properly, before replacing the NetMACS II Control PWB accomplish the following steps:
6. Remove the input fuse to the NetMACS II.
NOTE:
In the following step, when the DC input and the memory backup battery are removed, the
NetMACS II memory will be lost. After the DC power and the NetMACS II memory backup battery have
been reinstalled, re-program the NetMACS II.
7. Remove the memory backup battery.
8. Let the NetMACS II sit for 30 seconds.
9. Insert the memory backup battery.
10. Insert the fuse to re-apply input power.
11. Check to see if the lamp is illuminating properly (timing is correct). If the lamp timing is correct,
re-program the NetMACS II per factory defaults using the diskette supplied.
K. To reset IP address and System to defaults: Recovery Process for the Gateway module (cp700):
1. Method A
a. Power down, remove gateway.
b. Note existing DIP switch positions.
c. Move all switches to “OFF” which is “away from board edge”.
d. Power up the module.
