1. Open the local area connection (Ethernet) through the Start menu. Refer to Figure 1-6.

4. Next, select the
Use the following IP address
option and enter the following (Figure 1-8).
IP address:
10.1.4.100
Subnet mask:
255.255.248.0
Default gateway: 10.1.1.1

5. Click OK on all screens. The PC may require a reboot, if so reboot now.
6. Connect the crossover (Ethernet) cable to both, the PC and the NetMACS II.
