D. The PWB is installed. Replace the front cover and perform the operational checkout procedure in
Section 1.11.
2.6 BATTERY REMOVAL/REPLACEMENT
There is a 3.6 V lithium battery installed on the NetMACS II Control PWB (figure 2-1) to retain system
memory in the event the power was lost to the system. This battery should be replaced annually.
Replace the battery as follows:
A. Remove the front cover of the NetMACS II.
CAUTION:
It is very important to ensure the system is in operation and that the power does not become
disabled while the battery is removed from the system. If the battery is removed while power is disabled,
the NetMACS II application programming will be erased.
B. Ensure the system is
operating normally
and then locate the battery.
C. Remove and replace the battery. Observe the correct polarity of the battery when it is replaced into
the system. Ensure the system maintains normal operation.
D. Record the date when the battery was replaced. Identify this date on the system or battery.
