Open the mounting and inspection openings on the body of the actuating unit.

Inspect external visible parts of APU devices, whether they are not corroded;
remove foreign matter and the possible products of corrosion by a wiping
cloth.

Check the leak-tightness of the APU fuel-oil installation. Eliminate the
possible presence of working liquids by tightening of the interconnecting
components, Remove the liquids by a wiping cloth.

Check visually the oil level in the oil tank, if it is lower than 1 cm under the
MAX mark, fill the oil up to the MAX mark.

Make sure that there is no foreign matter in the APU suction area and on the
bottom of the body.

Check manually the ease of turning of the APU rotor. If you detect drag or
huge passive resistance, put the APU
