Configuring the security interfaces
The interfaces and routes have been configured on the OnSite Router. The Ethernet side of the OnSite router
will be configured to be an internal interface and the WAN side is selected to be the external interface since it is
on “public” side of the modem connection.
1.
Go to the Security Interface Configuration webpage as follows ‘Configuration Menu’ > Services Configu-
ration > Security. (See
figure 44
.)

Go to the third section (Security Interfaces) on the Security Interface Configuration webpage. Click on the
hyperlink
Add interface...
3.
Select ‘ip1’ beside the Name pull-down menu, and select ‘internal’ beside the Interface Type pull-down
menu. Click on Create. (See

.)
