Switch the appliance on by pressing the
ON/OFF switch .
♦
Set a speed suitable for the work using the
speed control .
♦
Switch the appliance off by pressing the
ON/OFF switch again.
Grinding
♦
Place the workpiece on the tool rest .
Guide the workpiece slowly towards the
grinding disc
at the required angle until the
workpiece and the grinding disc come into
contact with each other.
♦
Move the workpiece evenly backwards and
forwards in order to achieve optimal results. This
also ensures that the grinding disc is worn
down more evenly.
Changing the grinding disc/
buffing disc

Always remove the power plug from the
wall socket before carrying out any work
on the appliance.
WARNING!

The grinding or buffing disc used may
not be any larger than the prescribed diameter.
►
Replace the grinding or buffing disc
when the outer diameter is less than 50 mm.
NOTE
►
Please note that you will require tools which
are not included in delivery for the assembly.

Using a Torx-T10-screwdriver, unscrew the fix-
ing bolts from the side protective covers
(see fig. E). Remove the protective covers on
both sides.
♦
If you want to change the buffing disc , un-
screw the attachment for the flexible shaft .
♦
Unscrew the union nut from the shaft
using a 17 mm wrench. Hold the affected
grinding
or buffing disc firmly in one
hand to create a suitable counterpressure.
♦
Remove the tension disc and grinding
or buffing disc .
♦
Place the new grinding or buffing disc on
the shaft .
♦
Push the tension disc back onto the shaft .
♦
Screw the union nut back onto the shaft .
♦
Re-tighten the union nut . Hold the grinding
or buffing disc that you have just attached
firmly in one hand to create a suitable counter-
pressure.
WARNING! RISK OF INJURY!

Never use the grinding or buffing disc
without the protective cover .
CAUTION! PROPERTY DAMAGE!
►
Do not tighten the union nut too tightly
since the grinding disc could otherwise
break.

Refit the protective cover and fix it in place
by tightening the fixing screws .
Fitting the flexible shaft
WARNING! RISK OF INJURY!

Always remove the power plug from the
wall socket before carrying out any work
on the appliance.
♦
Screw the flexible shaft onto the connecting
thread of the appliance. To do this, push the
axle core of the flexible shaft into the square
hole on the connecting thread . Turn the lock-
ing nut anticlockwise to tighten it.
WARNING! RISK OF INJURY!

Make sure that the eye shields are folded
down to the tool rests . This can prevent
unintentional contact with the grinding or
buffing disc .
►
After use, remove the flexible shaft from
the appliance. Otherwise, the flexible shaft
could start thrashing about in an uncontrolled
manner and cause an injury when you switch
the appliance on.
