3.5.8 Configuring Inlet Valves
The default inlet valve configuration for CDAS / OFAS is Normally Closed (N/C). Upon power loss, the inlet valves will close and compressed air
will not flow through the dryer. This is to protect the dryer bed from over saturation in the event of a power loss.
In certain applications, there may be a requirement for wet compressed in the event of a dryer failure and CDAS / OFAS can be configured for
Normally Open (N/O) operation.
For Normally Open operation, the pneumatic piping on the inlet valves must be swapped over and dipswitch 7 on the control board set for N/O.
Refer to the pneumatic schematic - 008730000 within Section 8 of this user guide for how to reconfigure for Normally Open operation.
If the dryer is configured for Normally Open operation, this will allow compressed air to flow through the dryer whilst the controller is
off. Flowing compressed air without power to the dryer will damage to the desiccant bed and invalidate warranty. Normally Open
configuration is to be used at the users risk.
3.6 First Time Start Up

Ensure that the isolation valves on the inlet and the outlet of the dryer are closed.

Turn the dryer ON at the isolator and verify that the display illuminates.

Slowly open the isolation valve on the inlet of the dryer and verify that there are no leaks.

Test the condensate drains of the filters and ensure they are discharging correctly into a suitable collection vessel.
