4.2 Assembling the PARI PEP
®
System II
4.2.1 Treatment without PARI nebuliser

Follow these steps to assemble the PARI PEP System:
• Place the PEP upper part (2) on the PEP II lower part (4).
• Place the mouthpiece without expiratory valve (1) over the other end of the
PEP II lower part.
• Place the PEP tubing adapter (8) on the pressure gauge attachment point
of the PEP II lower part.
• Connect the connection tube of the pressure gauge (9) using the
adapter (7) with the PEP tubing adapter.
• Insert the connection tube on the pressure gauge (6).
4.2.2 Treatment in combination with PARI nebuliser

Follow these steps to assemble the PARI PEP System:
• Remove the inspiratory valve (10a) and the mouthpiece with the expiratory
valve (10b) from the PARI nebuliser (10).
• Place the PEP upper part (2) on the PEP II lower part (4) and then place
both together on the PARI nebuliser.
• Place the included mouthpiece without expiratory valve (1) over the
PARI nebuliser.
• Place the PEP tubing adapter (8) on the pressure gauge attachment point
of the PEP II lower part.
• Connect the connection tube of the pressure gauge (9) using the
adapter (7) with the PEP tubing adapter.
• Insert the connection tube on the pressure gauge (6).
