Material information
- You must always have a medical examination before treating
illnesses. The PARI PEP System must not be used until you have
been shown how to use it by your physician or physiotherapist.
- If you experience dizziness, shortness of breath or headaches
during PEP therapy, stop the session immediately and notify your
physician or physiotherapist.
- You must follow the general hygiene steps for using your
PARI PEP System strictly, e.g. washing your hands and disinfec-
tion if required.
Note on the (optional) pressure gauge:
- The pressure gauge can be purchased as an optional accessory.
It may be damaged if it is dropped or receives a similar impact. As
a result, the expiratory resistance reading may be incorrect. If this
occurs, it should be returned to PARI GmbH where it will be tested
for a fee.
- The pressure gauge is used to test expiratory resistance, and as
such has a measuring function. Accordingly, it is recommended
that the device be calibrated once every 3 years. Please contact
PARI GmbH or an authorised Service Centre for this.
- To prevent any risk to health from possible bacterial contamina-
tion of the pressure gauge connection tube (9), always use the
PEP tubing adapter (8).
