P a g e
Each axis can be locked at any position, in five degree increments. Note that
physically rotating the switch to the Lock Position inserts an internal
locking
shaft
into one of seventy two
locking holes
that are machined into the internal
gear. You will usually need to wiggle the axis a few degrees back and forth in
order to align the locking shaft with one of the locking holes. When the shaft
enters the locking hole, the entire transport lock knob will drop slightly into
worm gear cover. The axis will not rotate when the knob is in the lock position,
even if the two position switch is in the Track position.
Pulling out and rotating the knob 90 degrees allows the axis to rotate freely.
Note that the entire knob will rise slightly out of the worm block cover when in
the unlocked position.
