Removing
Oracle 8.1.6
To remove Oracle 8.1.6, follow these steps:
Step 1
Go to Control Panel, double-click the Services icon. The Services
dialog box appears (
Figure 2–39
).

Step 2
Stop all Oracle Windows services (any names that start with
Oracle, e.g., OracleServiceORCL) and click
Stop
. A dialog box
appears, asking if you want to stop the Oracle service.
Step 3
Click
Yes
. When the service is stopped, you are returned to the
Services dialog box. Close Services and Control Panel.
Step 4
Click the
Start
button >
Programs
>
Oracle Installation
Products
>
Universal Installer
. The Oracle Universal
Installer screen appears (
Figure 2–40
).
