2.3 Sensor Device Alerts
Various sensor devices can access the ACS-1E and ACS-1EUL systems through the use of the optional
I/O Board. The board contains 4 configurable sensor inputs as well as 4 extra output relays noted in the
previous section.
Inputs can be assigned to activate Controller Outputs 1 & 2 or I/O Board Outputs 1 through 4
Note:
All I/O Inputs are unassigned to relay Outputs by factory default.
I/O Board Inputs respond to a closed switch by default but can be reconfigured to respond to an
open switch using the ACS Enterprise software application. Input circuitry will operate best using a sen-
sor having relay switching contacts.
2.4 Suspect Card Alerts (Optional)
Suspect Card is a firmware-governed feature controlled by the ACS Enterprise software application. It
features a separate BINfile to hold the numbers for up to 50 stolen or suspected credit cards, debit
cards, or similar.
When a stolen card is inserted into a Card Reader running on the ACS-1E or ACS-1EUL system, the con-
troller will compare it to the numbers on its stolen-card list. The system will identify the card as suspect,
keep the controlled door(s) locked, and the LED indicator on the Card Reader will flash red. A control-
ler cache message will be generated stating a suspect card was detected, and the card cache will
flag the card number.
The Suspect Card function can activate any combination of Output relays when the financial institu-
tion uses an Alarm Panel.
2.4.1 Activating the Suspect Card function
Activation and deactivation of the Suspect Card function is performed via the ACS Enterprise Sensor
Configuration screen.
The installing technician is generally not obligated to load the Suspect Card BINfile, but may be
responsible for the activation of this feature.
To activate the Suspect Card function, follow the steps below:
1. Navigate to the ACS Enterprise Site Management screen.
2. Select the appropriate ACS-1E or ACS-1EUL site from the Site List.
3. Select

.
4. Check the box marked

2.5 Controller Box Tamper Alert
The Controller Box Tamper Alert is generated by a plunger-switch installed on a side-mounted bracket
fixed to the side of the controller box. Pre-assembled and pre-wired to the ACS-1E or ACS-1EUL Con-
