PROBLEM #6:
The Optisense is not picking up shots or shot distance is incorrect.
REASON:
Several (see below)
SOLUTIONS:
1.
Make sure that the cameras are
aligned properly
–
Over a period of time, vibration or shots that hit the Optisense will
misalign the cameras. Periodic realignment is necessary to ensure proper
line of sight of the cameras. Refer to Chapter 10 for realignment
procedures.
If balls are being detected after alignment, you are finished. If not refer to
solution 2.
2.
Increase the sensitivity level of the
cameras.
–
Each camera is equipped with a sensitivity adjustment knob on top of each
camera. The sensitivity is numbered from 0 to 10, 0 being the least
sensitive and 10 being the most sensitive. If the camera continues not to
“see”, increase the sensitivity level.
You may have to swing the Optisense down to make this adjustment or, if
you have enough room, you can access the knobs by using a ladder over
the front of the frame.
If the machine returns to normal operation, you are finished. If not, refer
to solution 3.
3.
Clean the infrared (IR) filters.
–
The cameras rely on a well illuminated area to “see” well. If the IR filters
are dirty or worn, the cameras will not function as well as they are able.
Clean or replace the filter to solve this problem.
If the machine returns to normal operation, you are finished. If not, refer
to solution 4.
4. Replace
camera
