4.8 Adjusting the blade depth

To properly adjust the blade depth, remove the blade holder from the cutter.  Lay the vinyl you wish to cut on 
a fl at surface and with the blade holder in your hand push down on the vinyl and drag the blade across the sur-
face of the vinyl.  You will then weed up the vinyl you have just cut.  Check to ensure that the blade cuts all the 
way through the vinyl and does not cut the backing.  If it did not cut through the vinyl you will turn the depth 
adjustment knob on the blade holder clockwise to increase the depth of the blade.  If it cuts through the vinyl 
and into the backing you will turn the blade counter clockwise to decrease the blade depth.  You will continue 
the above steps until the blade cuts through the vinyl and does not cut the backing.
