PRINT HEAD & ROLLERS
Occasi onally, specks of dust or dirt become att ached t o the machine’s print head and rollers.
This i s part icul arly likely when you are using t he unit outdoors or in a very dus ty
envi ronment. If a section of t he print head is covered with dust , a blank horizontal streak
may appear t hrough the label text. Therefore, the machine’s head may need to be cleaned
from t ime to time.
To clean the print head and rollers:
1 Turn off the m achine.
2 Remove the back cover, and then remove the tape cassette if one is inst all ed. The pri nt
head and rol lers are locat ed in t he tape compart ment .
3 Pri nt head: Use a dry cott on swab to gently wi pe the pri nt head wi th an up-and-down
mot ion.
Rollers: Us e a dry cot ton swab to wipe each rol ler with an up-and-down mot ion while
rotating them with your finger.
4 Install a tape cassette, at tach the back cover, and then try print ing again.
5 If dus t stil l remains, use Panduit Cleaning Cassette (LS7-CLN).
