10.4 The gouging
WARNING
During cutting, spatter can be generated.
To avoid burn injury, please follow the below mentioned precautions.
·
Keep the face and hands away from the zone of cutting tip.
·
Keep the gouging angle within the recommended range.
When this function is used, please replace cutting tip with the one which is specialized for gouging.
Meantime set cutting power source at gouging mode.
Regarding mode switching method of the cutting power source, please refer to the operational manual of
the cutting power source

.
When gouging depth and width are requested to change, please adjust parameters of the cutting torch
including gouging speed, angle and output current etc.
The output current gouging of 80A is equivalent to gouging result of 6.5mm carbon rod in diameter.
Note:
For gouging mode, service life of the electrode is shorter than that of the cutting mode.

side.
For low-carbon steel and stainless steel cutting, the recommended thicknesses for pulse cutting are as
follows:
Note:
·
For pulse cutting, the maximum cutting capacity (maximum cutting thickness and speed) is reduced.
·
For high speed cutting on thin plate and thick plate cutting, you may get good cutting result if you turn
off pulse function.
·
During pulse cutting, the actual cutting current is about 70% of the cutting current set value.
