5.7. Test Mode 6 (RAM Initialization)
Initializes RAM and restore Function Parameter to their default values.
Note:
This operation should be performed when the unit is first installed.
RAM Initialization Table
Note1:
This operation should be performed when the machine is installed. Initializing time may vary depending
on usage of Flash-Memory.
By some accident, if unit dose not detect any button and lock up, please try following procedure.
Turn Power ON while pressing [CLEAR] and [START] button.
By above operation Image data, voice message. ABBR/Direct dialling No. will be erased.
Step Operation or Unit Condition LCD Display
1 Standby. 12-MAY 15:00
2 Press “FUNCTION”. DEFERRED XMT?
3 Press “#”, “ ”, “#”, “#”. TEST MODE (< >)
4 Press “6” and “START”. RAM INITIALIZE
5 Press the dial button (2-digits) to select the initializing
mode. (See below)
6 Press “START”.
7 Press “STOP” twice to return to standby. 12-MAY 15:00

99 All DATA CLEAR Initialize all RAM data. (See Note1)
1# MANUFACTURE SET Factory use only. DO NOT USE IN THE FIELD.
13 ABBR. DIAL CLEAR One-touch/ABBR.No.will be cleared.
12 JOURNAL CLEAR Journal contents will be cleared.
PARAMETER INITIAL Fax Parameter and Function Parameter will be restored to
default values.
10 LOGO/ID/ CLEAR Logo/ID will be cleared.
19 i-FAX PARAMETER CLEAR Initialize all i-Fax Parameter data.
