5 Test Modes
5.1.
Test Mode Table
The following test modes are provided to assist you in setting operational functions of the unit and determin-
ing the condition of the unit.

Description

Test Pattern Printout
Prints out a test pattern to check the printer mecha-
nism. This TEST MODE must be performed when SC
PCB is replaced or F-ROM data is initialized.

Function Parameter Setting
Changes the function parameters. (the home position,
etc.)

System RAM Edit
Factory use only.

Function Parameter List Printout
Function Parameter list in Test Mode 1 and RAM data
in Test Mode 2 will be printed.

CIS Test
Document scanning mechanism and electrical circuit
will be tested by scanning a document and checking
the output signal from the CIS.

Tonal Signal Generation & Binary Signal
Generation
Generates various tonal & binary signals, by the
modem.

RAM Initialization
Initialize RAM and restore the default value of the func-
tion parameters.

DTMF Signal Generation
Generates various DTMF signals for dialing.

Flash Memory Test (Doc. MEM Test)
Checks the Document Memory Flash Rom.

LED, LCD Test
Checks the LED, LCD.

ID number can be entered by this mode. This mode is
only for the countries where service personnel is to
enter the ID number.

Bi-direction Alignment Test Pattern Print-
out
Print out a test pattern to calibrate for optimum bi-direc-
tional print alignment.

CIS Training
This test mode must be done after CIS or SC PC Board
was replaced and after Test Mode 9 (Memory Test).

Received Files Deletion
Deletes all the files received in the memory.

Calculates the check sum of the program ROM.
