Installation Part
Precautions before installation
• Do not install the Melody Week at the following place:
Failure to observe this precaution may cause malfunction, failure, or ground leakage.
·With ambient temperatures equal to or less than
10
°
C or equal to or more than 50°C;
·Subject to condensation;
• Where it is much humid or dust;
·Subject to strong high frequency noise, electric field, magnetic field;
·Outdoors exposed to rain or direct sunshine;
·There is corrosive gas such as sulfur dioxide or ammonia, etc.:
• Subject to vibration or shock.
• Do not install the Melody Week on a weak wall incapable of suspending the
Melody Week or an uneven wall with irregular surface.
Failure to observe this precaution may cause the Melody Week to drop.
• Use a power source within rating.
Connection to a power source out of rating may cause malfunction or failure.
• For a power source, use a dedicated circuit that does not turn off even
during nighttime hours.
Frequent power failure or prolonged power outage may cause a clock to get out of order
or shorten useful life of a built-in battery.
• Avoid intruding dust, concrete waste, wiring waste, and so forth into the
body or terminal part during installation.
• The Melody Week supplies a non-voltage contact output for a control
output. Accordingly, an external power supply is required to operate control
equi'pment.
• Do not take power terminal for load terminal.
Failure to observe this precaution may cause a load circuit to short-circuit or failure.
• Be sure to carry out Class D grounding work for earth terminal.
• In the case of rated load capacity or more or three phase loads, use an
electro-magnetic contactor and so forth.
• After installation, make sure adequately that wiring is properly carried out
before turning on the main power supply and making operation tests.
