Do Not Disturb (DND)
Description
Allows an extension user to appear busy to an incoming extension call or allows to transfer an
incoming outside call to the assigned extension. This can be set or cancelled by the extension
user.
Conditions
•
If your digital proprietary telephone (DPT) is not supplied with the FWD/DND button, it
can be assigned on a flexible button.
•
DND does not work for the following calls: doorphone calls; recalls for hold/Timed
Reminder alarm.
•
A DPT user in DND mode can answer a call by pressing the button showing the arrival of
the call.
•
An extension in DND mode can be called by other extension users who are allowed to
override DND in their Class of Service (Do Not Disturb Override).
•
The following extensions cannot set DND: operator, the Call Forwarding (C.FWD)
destination or the DND destination.
•
When the extension has set the C.FWD, Do Not Disturb (DND) for Intelligent Call
Handling 1:1 Call, the extension cannot be a DND destination.
•
Setting this feature cancels C.FWD or Do Not Disturb (DND) for Intelligent Call Handling
1:1 Call.
•
If the destination extension has DND activated, then the DSS button corresponding to it will
light up red. This indicates to the digital proprietary telephone or console user that the
destination extension is unavailable.
•
If an incoming call through Direct Inward System Access (DISA) comes in to an extension
that has set DND (Outside calls are forwarded to a pre-assigned extension), the call will be
directed to the Operator.
