13.2. Teletext Processing Stage
General
As already briefly mentioned earlier the
microprocessor performs teletext processing as
well as Control processing. To perform teletext
processing the following elements are required:
:
Teletext (TTX), Video Programme Signal (VPS)
slicer used to extract the relevant information from the
video signal.
:
Acquisition stage allowing simultaneous
reception of both the Teletext (TTX) and Video
Programme Signal (VPS). The VPS feature is not
used.
:
Display Timing which is used to ensure that the
text information is locked to the same timing as the
raster scan.
:
Character ROM which provides the required
characters for display of text information on screen
:
Display Generator used to create the Text
