24.3. Dolby Pro Logic Operation
24.3.1.Audio Input
To perform Dolby Pro Logic processing the audio
signals are fed between the DPL3520
IC2401
and the
MSP3410
IC2101
in digital format via the I
2
S bus
(discussed in section 20.3.).
The I
2
S bus is fed via connector E12 to connector K3
on the K-Board and to the Dolby Pro Logic processing
IC DPL3520
IC2401
.
Once the audio signals are fed to the DSP stage the
signals are fed via a prescaler which adjusts the
volume of the audio signal, thus ensuring the signals
are at the same level.
At the output of the prescaler the left and right audio
signals split into two paths.
The first path feds the audio signals directly to the
channel source selector which is the path used when
the standard stereo signal is selected. The second
path feds the audio signal to the Dolby Pro Logic
processing stage and the surround source selector.
