VPS/PDC function
If the television station sends VPS/PDC signals, the beginning and end of a
recording are synchronised with the current air time.
The programme start time must be set correctly to the start time given in the
magazine.
When recording in the NTSC system, the function may not work.
In the Timer recording screen, check the start and end time and the VPS/PDC signal.
If [- - -] is displayed under Name, use
to select the desired programme position.

Automatic SP/LP switching
A:
If the remaining tape time is not sufficient to start a programmed recording,
then the SP/LP function switches to the LP tape speed. This ensures that the
entire programme is recorded. If the remaining time on the tape is also not
enough in LP mode, then the programme cannot be recorded in full.
An automatic switching to EP mode is not possible.
