Disc Insert 

Disc insert (see left)

The disc format is automatically identifi ed.

Playback starts.

 When the menu screen is appears, see “DVD 

Menu/Video CD Menu” on page 56.

When a disc is in the player, press [SRC] (Source) 
to change to DVD/Video CD/CD/MP3 player mode 
and playback starts.
Note:

 

Do not insert a disc when [

<

] lights because a 

disc is already loaded.

 The power will be turned on automatically when a 

disc is loaded.

 You can play a disc even if the monitor is closed.

 The sound may be interrupted for a few moments 

while the audio format is being identifi ed.

 The surfaces of new discs tend to be slippery. 

Therefore, when using such a disc for the fi rst 
time, it may not load satisfactorily even when it 
has been inserted into the main unit. At a time like 
this, insert the disc into the main unit as far as it 
will go until it is loaded properly.

when it is not used.

Disc Eject

Note:

 If you leave a disc in the slot for more than 

30 seconds after its ejection, the disc will be 
automatically reloaded after three loud beeps.

 Due to limitations of certain discs, some DVD 

video and Video CD discs may not operate as 
described in these operating instructions. Refer to 
the disc jacket for further details.

 This unit does not support DVD and Video CD 

karaoke functions. 

 Even after the car’s ignition key has been turned 

to the ACC OFF position while a disc is still 
housed inside the main unit, the disc can still be 
ejected but only once.
