Sets the audio language.

If the priority audio language is already registered for the disc, the audio language registered on the disc is used to
play back. If the disc does not contain the set audio language, that language cannot be played.
[Angle Mark]
Sets whether to display or not display the angle mark.
default:
On
On ......... Displays the multi angle mark.
Off ......... Does not display the multi angle mark.
[ DVD software mode]
Set the image size for use when playing video from a wide DVD.
default: 16:9 Wide
Note:
Set the software setting according to the symbol used on jacket.

DVD software mode is ignored if Pan & Scan or Letterbox is already
set in the software.
Screen aspect of the display unit is changed according to the aspect
setting (
page 92) and DVD software’s aspect.
The setting changes as shown below, every time “DVD software mode” is selected.
16:9 Wide .............. plays a video in wide screen (16:9).
4:3 Letterbox ......... plays wide-screen video in Letterbox mode (in which black bands appear at the top and bottom
of the screen).
4:3 Pan & Scan ..... plays wide-screen video in Pan & Scan mode (in which the left and right edges of the screen
are cut off).
[Parental Control Level]
Restricts the DVD video that can be played.
default:
8
Enter a 4-digit code number and select [Enter].
Select [
] to delete one character.
Note:
At the time of purchase, no code number has been
set. The 4-digit number entered when making the
initial settings becomes the code number.
If no code number has been entered, the code
number is displayed at the top as “----”.
Once a code number is entered, the code number
will be required the next time the item is used, and
thereafter. Do not forget the code number. If you
forget your code number, touch [
] 10 times to
initialize the setting (returning to the state with no
code number setting).
Select the parental lock level, from [1] to [8].
Parental lock levels are in three main types.
Level 1: Only DVD for children can be played
(playback of general and adult-oriented
DVD video is prohibited).
Levels 2 to 7: Only DVD for children and general audiences
can be played (play of adult-oriented DVD
video is prohibited).
Level 8: All DVD can be played.
Note:
If the parental lock applies to a DVD that is played, the
code number input screen is displayed. Playback starts
after the correct code number is input and [Enter] is
selected.
