Please read these Important Safety Instructions together with the charging
instructions in your vehicle owner’s manual before charging your electric vehicle.
The charging device is only suitable for vehicles that are compatible with the IEC
62196 charging standard.
Ensure that you are fully conversant with all safety information and warnings
provided in this manual, to identify any hazards and risks associated with the
installation, operation, maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting of this charging
device.
When installing, using, or maintaining electrical products, the following precautions
should always be observed; Failure to do so may result in death or serious injury.
Safety Warning – User Operation
•
Never attempt to move the vehicle whilst the charge cable is connected.
•
Do not use the charger if it is defective, appears cracked, broken, or damaged in
any way.
•
Do not use the charger if the charging cable shows any signs of frayed or
damaged insulation.
•
Ensure that the charging cable is well positioned during charging, such that
it will not be stepped on, tripped over, or subjected to mechanical stress or
damage.
•
Do not operate the charger when either you, the vehicle, or the charger is
exposed to severe rain, snow, or other severe weather.
•
Do not forcefully pull on the charging cable, or damage it with sharp objects
•
Do not insert fingers, or foreign objects into any part of the charging connector.
•
To prevent damage, never touch the charging connector terminals with sharp
metallic objects.
•
Risk of electric shock. Do not attempt to open the enclosure, disassemble,
repair, tamper or modify the charger in any way. There are no user serviceable
parts inside. Refer all maintenance requirements to qualified service personnel.
•
Risk of explosion. This device has arcing or sparking parts that should not
