Ensure that the teeth have the same length and angle as illustrated:
Guide bar

Turn the guide bar over occasionally to avoid partial wear on one side.
•
The guide bar rail must always be square. Check the guide bar rail for wear. Set a ruler
to the guide bar and the outside of a tooth. If you can see a gap between the two, the
rail is normal. If not, then the guide bar rail is worn and must be adjusted or replaced.
