Apply marine grease or a corrosion resistant grease to the propeller shaft.
Refer to

Recommended fluids and grase

Install the propeller washer and propeller on the propeller shaft.

NOTE!

Be sure to install the propeller washer before installing the propeller,

otherwise the lower case and propeller boss could be damaged.

NOTE!

Some outboards are equipped with a Nyloc locking nut (1) and do not have

a cotter pin. Do

NOT

reuse a Nyloc locking nut!

NOTE!

Some models use a retainer
