When the gear shift lever is moved to the neu-
tral position or forward position, the outboard
motor can be tilted up.
Tilt support bar (
F4

F5 F6
)
Use the tilt support bar to keep the outboard
motor in the tilted up position or a shallow
water cruising position.
Tilt support lever (F2.5)
To keep the outboard motor in the tilted up
position, lock the tilt support lever to the
clamp bracket.
NOTICE
Do not use the tilt support lever or knob
when trailering the boat. The outboard
motor could shake loose from the tilt sup-
port and fall. If the motor cannot be
trailered in the normal running position,
use an additional support device to secure
it in the tilt position.
Cowling lock lever
The cowling lock lever(s) is used to secure the
top cowling.
