Positioning the upper section and lower section (
4
on page 5 – )
►
For installation in the prosthesis, note the positioning of the upper sec
tion relative to the lower section (
: incorrect;
: correct).
Prohibited positioning (
5
on page 6 – )
►
Do not position the product in the prosthesis as shown in Figure
5
on
page 6 (
: prohibited; : proximal from the prosthetic knee joint).
Allowable positioning (
6
on page 7 – )
►
INFORMATION:
For bench alignment, the 4R10 is positioned at the
same height for each version. The distance to the prosthetic socket
(h
1
= h
2
) or to the alignment reference point of the prosthetic knee joint
(h
3
= h
4
) is always the same. The instructions for use of prosthetic sport
feet provide information whether a different height has to be used for the
bench alignment of a sports prosthesis due to the spring effect.
Position the product in the prosthesis according to the examples in Fig
ure
6
on page 7 (
: allowable).
→
: Recommended position (close to the TT prosthetic socket or
prosthetic knee joint) – this positioning offers the most alignment
possibilities.
→
: Alternative position (close to the prosthetic foot) – this position
ing shifts the centrifugal mass in the distal direction, but reduces
the alignment possibilities and makes it more difficult to install a
cosmetic cover.
Using the spacer plate (
7
on page 8 – )
►
INFORMATION:
The system height can be changed with the spacer
plate.
Only use or omit the spacer plate according to the illustrated, approved
examples in reference to the socket adapter (
: flat contact surface;
: allowable; : no flat contact surface; : prohibited).
Mounting the socket adapter (
8
on page 9 – )
►
CAUTION!
Thread lock is only required when finishing the prosthesis.
Install the socket adapter in the illustrated sequence.
7.3 Optimising the static alignment
►
Optimise the static alignment of the prosthesis with its various distal
prosthetic components according to the values in the instructions for use
of the products that are used.
