Attach the 8E44=* Transcarpal Hand to the MyoWrist* Transcarpal 10V38=*,
but do not secure the nuts with Loctite. (Fig. 3).
Determine the appropriate cable length for connecting it to the electronic
circuit on the Transcarpal-Hand (Fig. 11). Mark the necessary length. Dis-
connect the Transcarpal-Hand 8E44=* from the wrist joint and and cut the
cable to length (Fig. 10).
Remove approximately 2 mm of the cable housing and prepare the wire
with solder (Fig. 12). Solder the four-pole cable to the Cable Connector
(Fig. 13).
Polarity of the cables:
While three of the housing contacts have been spaced equally
apart, another contact has been set apart from them at a greater
distance. Solder the outermost gray wire of the Four-Pole Cable to
this contact (Arrows, Fig. 13). Pay attention to the order of the wires
and make sure they are connected to the correct contacts!
Attach the Transcarpal-Hand 8E44=* to the plate of the MyoWrist Transcarpal
10V38=* as described in the Instruction Manual 647H398. Secure the nut
with 636K12 Loctite 245. Make sure that the cable is properly connected to
the electronic circuit (Fig. 14)!
Pull the System Inner Hand over the Transcarpal-Hand and fix in place with
the Retaining Ring.
