3.10 DUAL FUEL SYSTEM (IF EQUIPPED)
IT IS POSSIBLE TO SWITCH FROM ONE FUEL SOURCE TO THE OTHER WITHOUT ALLOW
-
ING THE ENGINE TO STOP. EXTREME CARE MUST BE TAKEN AND THE FOLLOWING
INSTRUCTIONS MUST BE FOLLOWED.
Changing from Gasoline to Liquid Propane Gas (LPG):
1.
Start the engine from the platform control station.
2.
With the engine under a no load condition, open the hand
valve on the LPG supply tank by turning counterclockwise.
3.
While the engine is operating, place the two position LPG/
GAS SELECT switch at the platform control station to LPG.
Changing from LPG to Gasoline:
1.
With the engine operating on LPG under a no load condi
-
tion, position the LPG/GAS SELECT switch at the platform
station to the GAS SELECT position.
2.
If the engine ‘stumbles’ because of a lack of gasoline, place
the switch to the LPG position until the engine regains
smoothness, then return the switch to the GAS SELECT posi
-
tion. Repeat as necessary until the engine runs smoothly on
gasoline.
3.
Close the hand valve on the LPG supply tank by turning
clockwise.
