Begin the Walk-Around Inspection at Item 1 as noted on the dia

gram. Continue to the right (counterclockwise viewed from top)
checking each item in sequence for the conditions listed in the fol
-
lowing checklist.
TO AVOID POSSIBLE INJURY, BE SURE MACHINE POWER IS “OFF” DURING WALK-
AROUND INSPECTION.
NOTICE
DO NOT OVERLOOK VISUAL INSPECTION OF CHASSIS UNDERSIDE. CHECKING THIS
AREA OFTEN RESULTS IN DISCOVERY OF CONDITIONS WHICH COULD CAUSE EXTEN
-
SIVE MACHINE DAMAGE.
INSPECTION NOTE:
On each item, make sure there are no loose or
missing parts, that they are securely fastened, and that no visible
damage exists in addition to any other criteria mentioned.
1. Oscillating Axle Tilt Sensor
– No unsupported wires; no dam
-
aged or broken wires - See Inspection Note.
2. Steer Cylinder
– See Inspection Note.
3. Spindle, Tie Rod, and Steer Linkage
– See Inspection Note.
4. Wheels and Tires
– Properly secured, no missing lug nuts (refer
to Section 6.7). Inspect wheels for damage and corrosion.
5. Wheel Drive Hub
– See Inspection Note.
6. Oscillating Axle and Oscillation Cylinders
– See Inspection
Note.
7. Scissor Arms, Centering Link and Sliding Wear Pads
– See
Inspection Note.
8. Fuel Tank
– See Inspection Note.
9. Main Control Valve
– No unsupported wires or hoses; no dam
-
aged or broken wires.
10. Leveling Jack Valve (If Equipped)
– No unsupported wires or
hoses; no damaged or broken wires.
11. Ground Controls
– Placard secure and legible, control switches
return to neutral position when activated and released, emer
-
gency stop switch functions properly. Control markings legible.
12. Drive Valve
– No unsupported wires or hoses; no damaged or
broken wires.
