Poor sound quality
Move closer to Base Station
Ensure Base Station or handset is not being used very close to other electrical
appliances. If you are using broadband on the line ensure you have connected a ‘micro
filter’
No Dialling tone
Check the connections (use only the phone cable provided) Move closer to the Base
Station
Ensure the handset(s) has been fully charged
Answering Machine automatically dropping the telephone line during
announcement
If you try to operate another telephone when the answering machine is answering an
incoming call, the answering machine will automatically drops the telephone line and
terminate the announcement and answering machine operation.
If you have recently reconnected the telephone cable of the Orchid LR telephone, unplug
the power adapter and the telephone cable from the telephone for 2 minutes. Reconnect
the telephone line cord and the power adapter again.
Note:
If all the above suggestions do not solve the problem unplug the power and
telephone cables from the base unit for 2 minutes. Also remove the batteries from the
handsets, this will reset the microprocessors. Reconnect the cables and batteries and
check to see if this has resolved the problem.

water, such as flower vases, or anything with an open flame, such as a lit candle,
on or near the product.
