Answering machine use and settings
The Orchid LR7620T/LR7620T Duo/LR8620T/LR8620T Duo has an integrated answering
machine.
The answering machine and functions can be operated by the handset(s) but some
key functions are more simply accessed from the Base Station e.g.; Answer on/off and
Message playback.
You have a choice of 6 different settings:
Answer off The answering machine is switched off. The telephone doesn’t answer calls.
OGM only
The telephone only plays the outgoing message (OGM) when it receives a
call. The caller cannot leave a message.
On/ 2 Ring The answering machine answers the call after 2 rings.
On/ 4 Ring The answering machine answers the call after 4 rings.
On/ 6 Ring The answering machine answers the call after 6 rings.
On/ 8 Ring The answering machine answers the call after 8 rings.
Note:
You must set the phones time and date before you can activate the answering
machine function - “Setting the phones time and date” section for details.
Procedure for switching the TAM (telephone answering machine) functions
1. Press [Menu] button to enter the icon page
and scroll to icon. Press [OK] to enter the TAM
(answering machine) menu.
2. Scroll to Answer/Ring menu. Press [OK] to enter.
3. Use the buttons to select Answer Off,
Announce Only, Ans On/2 Ring, Ans On/4 Ring,
Ans On/6 Ring and Ans/On 8 Ring modes.
4. Once the mode is selected, press [OK]
Note
: If the Answering Machine has been switched
on (at Announce only, Ans On/2 Ring, Ans On/4
Ring, Ans On/6 Ring, Ans On/8 Ring), the base’s
“Message/line’ green LED will be lit to indicate the
answer machine is switched on and will answer
incoming calls according to the selected mode.
In case of new recorded message(s) received, the
“Message/Line” LED at base will flash slowly to
for indication. icon will be shown on top of
handset screen.
